Meet The Team

It is in part due to our close knit and varied team that we can maintain our high standards at all times. Below you'll find profiles of our team members and what each brings to the Manor Development Company and Alison Business Centre.
Ruth Dowling (Chief Executive)

Ruth's full time role within the company is the strategic development of the organisation and its partnerships within the local and
surrounding areas. She has overall responsibility for Manor Development Company and Alison Business Centre operations under the guidance of the Board of Directors.



Ruth started working for Manor Development Company and was the first employee back in 1993. In her initial role as Manager, she oversaw the building of the first phase of the business centre. After living in the area until 2003, she has since moved away, but still maintains close ties to the area through her position at MDC.


Alex Davies (Operations/Development Manager)

Responsible for the day to day management of Alison Business Centre, Alex acts as on-line manager for all staff in the Business Services Department. She is also the main contact for all businesses located on site and her skills at coordinating the centre’s operations have developed in line with organisational operations.



In addition to her more direct on-site responsibilities, she also has an active role in the research and development of new revenue streams and acts as Project Manager a number of initiatives within MDC.



Alex lives locally and started her employment with Manor Development Company Limited as a part-time Receptionist in 1995 following her training at Manor Training and Resource Centre. Since then she has worked in a number of different roles within the company up to her current position as Operations/Development Manager.

Kevin Ashmore (Facilities Maintenance Coordinator)

Kevin's post was created as a result of the increasing needs for managed workspace maintenance. A full time member of the Site Maintenance Team, he is responsible for both sites of the Alison Business Centre and also outside maintenance contracts.



Having lived locally for a number of years, he has since moved away from the area and after joining MDC in 2001 as the Site Maintenance Officer, he has progressed to his current position of Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.

Sheree Kirk (Payroll Assistant)

Sheree works part time within then Accounts & Payroll Team as a Payroll Assistant. Her primary role is the processing of all payroll procedures and HR for both the MDC and for the company's client base.



Having lived locally all her life, Sheree started at Manor Development Company in 2004 as a Receptionist. She has since developed her skills/experience within the company which has enabled her to move within the company to her current position . Most of her external training has been provided locally at Manor Training & Resource Centre.

Natalie Bagnall (Sales & Lettings Administrator)

Natalie currently works part-time within the Business Services Team as a Sales & Lettings Administrator. Under the supervision of the Operations/Development Manager, Natalie's primary role is to carry out various administrational duties with regards to licensees and site issues.



Natalie, who has lived locally all her life and started at Manor Development Company in 2004 as a Receptionist, job shares with Sheree. She has developed her skills/experience within the company and refreshed her qualifications locally at Manor Training and Resource Centre, which has enabled her to progress within the company to her current position.

Keith Palmer (Site Operative)

Working part-time for MDC, Keith is partly responsible for ensuring that the business centre is cleaned and maintained on a daily/weekly basis. His other responsiblities cover the on-site contract cleaning.

Keith has lived locally all his life and he started work for Manor Development Company 2008 as a Domestic Operative. He has developed his skills within the company to now help maintain the business centre along with our Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.


Susan Palmer (Domestic Assistant)

Susan works part time and her responsibilities include the cleaning the Manor Development Company Ltd's offices and conference/meeting room facilities.

One of our longest serving team members, Susan lives locally and joined the company back in 1998.


Tony Knowles (Domestic Assistant)

A relatively recent addition to the MDC Site Maintenance team, Tony joined us in 2008 to help expand the cleaning services that the company provides, as a part time Domestic assistant. He is mainly responsible for the communal facilities and ensures that they are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.

Tony joined us by a work trial through the Social Services initially for two weeks and following his continually reliable performance he has become a valued permanent team member.


Deborah Palmer (Sales & Lettings Assistant)

Deborah works on a part-time basis within the Business Services Team and as a job share with Natalie as the Sales & Lettings Assistant.

Under the supervision of the Operations/Development Manager, Deborah's primary role is to carry out various administrational duties the business centre requires with regards its licensees and other site issues.

She has always lived locally and joined the company in 2008 as a volunteer to develop her administrative skills. Following her hard work on a voluntary basis, Deborah was given a permanent position within the company as a development assistant.

Lisa Hayes (Accounts Assistant)

Working part-time within the Accounts & Payroll Team, Lisa's role is to process all accounts procedures for the business centres' client base including purchasing , sales, and banking. She also undertakes related duties within the acccounts and payroll operations team.

Lisa's initial training in accounts was through Richmond College and she joined Manor Development Company in 2008. Having lived locally until 2000 she has since moved away from the area.

Donna Scarborough (Business Services/Office Administrator)

Donna works full time within the Business Services Team as the Business services/Office Adminsitrator. Her primary role is managing the running of Alison Business Centre's busy reception and also running the conference and meeting room facilitiy.

Having lived locally all her life, she joined Manor Development Company in 2008 as a temporary Receptionist after being made redundant from her previous employer.
